THE RACE HQ
The Race HQ is located in the clubhouse of the golf resort, this will be sign posted from the car park. There are several toilet blocks located throughout the buildings (a good tip is not to go to the nearest ones as they will always have a queue).
Post-race there are showers, changing and bar/food facilities in the clubhouse. Post-race refreshments and food are available to purchase in the golf resort clubhouse and bar.
When using any of the clubhouse areas and facilities please be respectful of the facilities and do not wear muddy trainers through the buildings. Worth taking a spare pair of trainers for post-race use to get to the showers etc...
The golf club and both it's courses will be open on event day, where it has been deemed that runners or golfers could be in danger from each other we have taken measures to limit these risks. The run route has been designed bearing in mind the flow and direction of the golf courses as well as ensuring it has what a runner wants.
However please ensure you are always alert to what is taking place around you and don't forget to say 'Good Morning' or 'Swap you' to our fellow outdoor enthusiasts, the golfers.
RACE DISTANCE - Approximately 10Km / 6.2 Miles
The runners will return to the start / finish area after completing a loop to the West of the clubhouse, the runners will continue on the second loop to the North and East. A picturesque undulating multi-terrain course with approximately 450 feet of climb and one challenging hill with a Strava segment (Bunker Hill) setup for an inter-participant hill challenge. The course showcases the two magnificent championship designed golf courses, the historic parkland and the extensive views to the South over the Bristol Channel and to the North the imposing vista towards the Brecon Beacons.

HEADPHONES, EARPHONES, EAR-BUDS AND SIMILAR EQUIPMENT
Along with many other race organisers we have endeavoured to persuade runners not to wear headphones, earphones or similar equipment during races. These efforts have failed and consequently we have no alternative but to adopt a strict disqualification practice for any runner seen wearing headphones, earphones or similar equipment. In respect of this race it is important that runners can hear the verbal warnings and instructions issued by race marshals.
As much as we love dogs we unfortunately cannot have them racing in our events.
Martha is gutted!
We feel a cani-cross event in the making!
